There was a horrible spot in the carpet of the room. A strong smell even when the windows are open. The other room had a narrow window, that is in the end of a narrow corridor behind the bathroom. The second room did not smell bad.

So the great thing is the staff was very nice and accommodating and the breakfast was very nice. The not-so-great thing is the poor condition of the room - needing updates desperately. Location was okay.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. No window in tiny Room dirty a lot of mold in shower. Not sure if sheets had been changed. I would not have stayed but had paid up front and nowhere else to go at short notice. There is nothing nice about this place.

Having arrived three hours later than scheduled, the fact that the hotel was so close to the train station was most welcome. Pros: location, breakfast, general cleanliness, helpful reception staff and, if your room is at the back, it’s quiet in the main. Decent WiFi. Cons: in reality, only the absence of tea/coffee making facilities prevented me giving it a rating of five. If I were being picky, it would be useful if the room had a phone, just in case you wanted to call reception.

We stayed in the annexe - which is a different house. While it was large and clean, the overall feel was a little unwelcoming. Also, didn’t have things like morning tea/ coffee bags which are always a nice small touch. Location is decent - has easy access to the central areas, and is close to Kurfurstendamm. The breakfast was quite good. Also, the sofa pull out bed was quite uncomfortable and creaky
